Orthopedic Acupuncture for Pain, Movement & Nervous System Regulation
Orthopedic Acupuncture
A modern approach to pain care that combines orthopedic assessment, manual therapy, acupuncture-based neuromodulation, and Traditional Chinese Medicine principles to improve movement, reduce pain, and support recovery.
60-minute one-on-one sessions designed to address both the physical and nervous system components of pain.
At Great Blue Acupuncture , we specialize in acupuncture-based musculoskeletal and nervous system care.
Our approach integrates orthopedic evaluation, movement assessment, manual therapy, acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine-informed treatment to help patients experiencing pain, tension, injury, stress, and nervous system dysregulation.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we aim to understand how the body is moving, adapting, and responding to stress so treatment can be individualized to your needs.
Orthopedic & Integrative Acupuncture Therapy
This 60-minute one-on-one session combines orthopedic assessment, manual therapy, acupuncture-based neuromodulation, and Traditional Chinese Medicine principles to address pain, movement dysfunction, and nervous system regulation.
Our approach recognizes that pain is influenced by both mechanical factors and the nervous system. By integrating modern orthopedic assessment with Traditional Chinese Medicine, we are able to address both the physical source of discomfort and the broader factors that impact healing, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
Each session may include:
Range of motion assessment
Functional movement evaluation
Orthopedic testing when appropriate
Manual therapy techniques
Orthopedic acupuncture and trigger point treatment - (Dry Needling)
Acupuncture-based neuromodulation
Traditional Chinese Medicine-informed treatment
In addition to addressing pain and mobility concerns, treatment may also support:
Nervous system regulation
Stress management
Sleep quality
Recovery and resilience
Digestive health
Emotional wellbeing
Treatment is individualized and designed to improve movement, reduce pain, optimize nervous system function, and support the body's natural healing processes.
By combining evidence-informed orthopedic acupuncture techniques with the holistic principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we provide comprehensive care that addresses both musculoskeletal dysfunction and the systemic factors that contribute to long-term health and recovery.

Why We Offer Cash-Based Orthopedic Sessions. We accept insurance for traditional acupuncture visits.
Our Orthopedic & Integrative Acupuncture Therapy sessions are offered as a cash-based service because they include an expanded level of individualized care that is often difficult to provide within insurance reimbursement models.
These sessions include:
60 minutes of dedicated one-on-one treatment
Comprehensive movement and orthopedic assessment
Manual therapy integration
Acupuncture-based neuromodulation
Individualized treatment planning and reassessment
Many patients choose to begin with one or two orthopedic sessions to experience the depth of care and determine whether it is the right fit for their goals.

We believe the best patient outcomes often come from a collaborative approach to care.
When appropriate, we work alongside physical therapists, physicians, massage therapists, chiropractors, mental health professionals, and other healthcare providers to help ensure patients receive comprehensive and coordinated treatment.
We recognize that no single provider has all the answers. When additional evaluation, treatment, or specialized care is needed, we are happy to refer patients to trusted healthcare professionals who can best support their goals and recovery.
Our focus is always on helping patients find the most effective path forward—whether that involves treatment within our clinic, collaboration with other providers, or referral to another specialist.
By working together, we can better support pain management, injury recovery, nervous system regulation, overall wellbeing, and long-term health outcomes.
