Chinese herbal medicine is powerful - and often overlooked!
This form of plant medicine deserves to be more widely understood. Herbs are rarely administered singly but rather in complex formulas which address main symptoms while balancing the body's energy as a whole. The interplay of herbs has a synergistic and harmonizing effect which strengthens their safety and efficacy.
Like acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine can heal serious diseases...but not overnight. It's "slow medicine," often requiring months or even years to change the physiology in a meaningful way. For this reason we've decided to offer herbal services which span multiple appointments and offer continuing support. We make every attempt to achieve results quickly and keep costs down; at the same time, we want to educate patients about how herbal therapy usually unfolds.
Chinese Herbal Medicine is Strong enough to treat complex disorders, yet free from the side effects of many pharmaceuticals.

Following his studies with Winnie Chow, a master of ancient Chinese formulas, as well as 8 years of herbal practice, Matt has recently completed a 14-month master class with Heiner Fruehauf of Classical Pearls. Matt is proud to offer Classical Pearls formulas at Great Blue, which - with their emphasis on organic and terroir-specific materials as well as traditional alchemical preparation - are the most effective on the market.

Initial Herbal Consult
All herbal consults last 30 minutes. If you are a new patient to our practice, please fill out our new patient health history and consent forms before your scheduled appointment. Insurance does not cover herbal consults.
An initial comprehensive herbal consult is $150, which includes:
* A 30 minute face-to-face (or Zoom / phone) meeting
* A 15 minute check-in after 2 weeks
* Another face-to-face meeting after 6 weeks
* Email support any time questions arise
Regular herbal consult is $65
* A 30 minute face-to-face (or Zoom / phone) meeting
This price DOES NOT include the cost of the herbs themselves, which can range from $65 - $130 per month.
